It was a day in the summer of 2011. We went back to the studio, decided to split up as a band and restart with something completely different. Three producers, musicians and sound-fetishists having equal rights. Everyone does everything, but most important, we do it ourselves.
Notion Sound Collective stands for more than just great music and superb sound. We have our own way to work, we don't let anyone else talk us into doing something and we don't compromise. Everything is made by us: Websites, photos, videos, everything, until we develop a common subconscious that is pushing us forward and lets us do things we couldn't do as individuals. Each idea is arranged together, mostly improvised at the right moment. Often we can't comprehend how a song developed, because everything just happened. The music is emotional, experimental, dynamic and amazingly atmospheric. For some people it's "Progressive Pop", for others it's "Experimental Indie" and for the most people its probably something in between.
Of course, we aren't free from influences. Quite the contrary, we know them exactly and are thankful for the awesome moments we have experienced while listening to and watching their great works: Björk, Eminem, Metallica, Miles Davis, David Lynch, Tone, Arnold Schönberg, Die Ärzte, Radiohead, Chet Baker, Lars von Trier, Claude Debussy, Pat Metheny, Muse, Moby, Tua, Iron Maiden, Alban Berg, Depeche Mode, Helmet, Igor Strawinsky, Tool ...
Now, we are more than happy that we have finished our record. It is brilliant and everything left to do is to say: "You have to enjoy the moments, when you feel you're doing great".

Es war an einem Tag im Sommer 2011, wir zogen uns ins Studio zurück, beschlossen, unsere Band aufzulösen und mit etwas gänzlich Anderem einfach nochmal von vorn anzufangen. Drei völlig gleichberechtigte Musikproduzenten, Musiker und Soundfetischisten. Alle machen alles aber vor allem machen wir es selbst.
Das Notion Sound Collective steht nicht nur für großartige Musik oder tollen Sound. Wir haben unsere ganz eigene Arbeitsweise, lassen uns von außen nicht reinreden und machen keine Kompromisse. Wir machen unsere Webseiten selbst, Fotos, Videos, alles, und verschmelzen zu einem gemeinsamen Unterbewusstsein, dass uns lenkt und Dinge tun lässt, zu denen wir als einzelne Individuen nicht fähig wären. Jede Idee wird von Anfang an gemeinsam gestaltet, meist aus dem Moment heraus improvisiert. Oft ist nicht nachvollziehbar, wie der Song entstanden ist, weil alles einfach so passiert. Die Musik ist emotional, experimentell, dynamisch und unglaublich atmosphärisch. Für die Einen ist es „Progressive Pop“, für die Anderen „Experimental Indie“ und für die Meisten wahrscheinlich irgend etwas dazwischen.
Natürlich sind wir nicht frei von Einflüssen anderer Künstler. Ganz im Gegenteil, wir kennen diese sogar sehr genau und sind dankbar für die großen Momente, die wir erleben durften, beim Hören und Sehen ihrer großartigen Werke. Wir sind gerade überglücklich, das Album vollendet zu haben. Es ist großartig geworden und wir können nur noch abschließend hinzufügen: „Man muss die wenigen Momente im Leben genießen, in denen man sich selbst gut findet“

Now we're back with our brand new long player "Until you like the blue". Each track stands for itself, but together their gettin bigger then we thought. Each track has been edited until it was perfect to us. When a song didn't reach it's limit, it didn't went to the LP.
